The Horn Press will be holding our first workshop of the year on Friday, October 12th at 6:00pm – 8:00pm in Room 111 at GSE&IS. We will be learning about paper and the basic pamphlet stitch as an introductory workshop on some of the basic parts of making a book. It will be a fun, hands-on workshop during which you will be able to make your own little book!
We will have a booklet sheet available to make a small book about the Horn Press, in addition to a few blank sheets of paper. Please feel free to bring any paper that you would like to use for your booklet, whether it be decorative paper for the cover, or nice paper for the inside sheets!
This workshop will be a good introduction to the book arts field for the collaborative artist’s book project and in preparation for attending the LA Printer’s Fair on Saturday, October 13th – Sunday, October 14th in Carson.
