Last fall, several of us convened to ease our pre-finals nerves by making colorful paste papers! We mixed acrylic paints with methyl cellulose paste, prepped our paper with sprayed water, and applied the vibrant goo with whatever methods — by finger or brush — we felt. Next, we hung them on a clothes line to dry overnight.
